miko is sketching loudly on paper, before letting out a satisfied sigh "okay. guys, i have an idea. check this out" she shows jack and raf a drawing she did, a stickman sitting in a kart with a long rod connecting a big magnet to the front of the vehicle with the text "car made of metal, magnet pulls metal" "that... wouldnt work, miko." jack says, fairly confident "yeah... i dont think gravity or magnetization works like that?" raf wants to let her down more gently on the matter, but is just being realistic miko growls and storms off, approaching ratchet- the only bot in the base- as her last resort "ugh, ratchet! i need you to say this would work, right?? it has to, why wouldnt it???" she holds up the picture confidently, ratchet takes a moment to process it; and proceeds to laugh his ass off the loudest he ever has in probably years. the kids are stunned and partially choking up with laughter themselves, miko is both mesmerized and embarrassed, and ratchet is stumbling onto the railing and through his hysteria is shouting "no! primus, no! it would not!!"

wound, for Nuadha

wound: How does your OC handle being wounded? Are their wounds mostly physical? Mental? Emotional? What's the worst wound your OC has ever experienced?

No one can take a physical wound like Nuadha -- you could even say she finds them recreational. She can nullify most harm attempted upon his person if necessary (in non-fun situations, like the various combat encounters that occur in-game), and that is a pretty sick power move, but she isn't too impressed by it personally. He likes to be wounded, to feel physical pain, to be overwhelmed by agony. (She finds out much later that she also likes to be tended to after the wounding. Especially if it's by the person who did the wounding in the first place.)

Compare this to emotional wounding -- people who don't really Get her would scoff at this, but Nuadha is incredibly fragile in this respect. It's what made her a perfect target for Bhaal -- she had developed a wicked temper, since it was the only "safe" (for him, anyway) outlet for the emotional storms he weathered on a constant basis, and that combined with an innate love for darker delights led easily to an affinity for ruthless murder. In essence, hurt her feelings and she kills you. (Orin, of course, thought this was childish and absurd. But this ain't about her--)

I think the actual joy of physical masochism is buried under the escapism of it for a long time -- she thought she enjoyed being hurt, but actually he was seeking relief in the externalisation of his internal state. Her hunger for the lash, knife, etc, was desperate and grasping. As he heals internally, the hunger morphs into something exultant, something more befitting of the god who made him.

The worst wounding... that's difficult to say. I think it's like the difference between PTSD and CPTSD -- there is no One Event that is the worst thing to happen to Nuadha, but rather the consistent abrading of her identity and the joy to be found in it, by a world that finds no value in it or her. Losing herself is the worst wounding, and that happens long before Orin lobotomises her (a heavy-handed enactment of the metaphor, there, don't you think, sis?). But I'd still say that Orin's intervention ranks pretty highly as the worst kind of thing you could do to someone like Nuadha.

Okay in no particular order:

The esophagus has been a long time Jay favorite, it just has a certain charm to it yk? When I first learned about it I was like waow. And I've held a special place for it in my heart ever since.

Capillaries, gotta love those. Have you ever seen that Blood Vessels of Ostrich statue? Go look it up, it builds an appreciation for blood like nothing else.

Lymph nodes. Nobody ever mentioned this to me before not even in the anatomy class I took in high school but lymph nodes are called that because they filter. Lymph. Lymph is just a thing on it's own, it's plasma that leaves the blood and goes and picks up shit from the cells. It's like blood part 2. That's so cool.
